About me

Marissa Branson

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am an experienced therapist who uses a comprehensive set of tools and modalities to help people of all ages and backgrounds. I have worked in different settings, treating a diverse set of people for a wide spectrum of mental health concerns.

While at Columbia University School of Social Work, I worked at a public elementary school in the Bronx and a public high school in Westchester, providing services to their students.

After graduating and getting my license, I worked for a foster care services provider in New York City, where I saw clients in the residential foster care facility, or in their homes.

I next worked at a mental health clinic in New Rochelle, New York, where I worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, but with a particular focus on low-income adolescents.

Prior to starting my private practice, I worked at a start-up telehealth company, which provided physical and mental health services to individuals of all ages and background, with a particular focus on women in college. During my time at the start-up, I became licensed in multiple states across the country and gained experience treating a geographically diverse set of clients.

In my private practice, I employ cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and classical psychotherapy to help people with a diverse range of mental health concerns. I particularly specialize in treating children, adolescents, and young adults for anxiety and depression.
